German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 medium potatoes
    1 lb. bacon
    2 Tbsp. flour
    2 Tbsp. oleo
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 c. sour cream
    1 c. water
    1 c. chopped onion
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. vinegar
    chopped parsley
Preparation
    Cook potatoes in salted water until tender.
    Cool a little; peel and slice.
    Add onion.
    In large skillet, cook bacon and dice; set aside.
    Pour off bacon grease.
    Return 1/2 cup grease to skillet.
    Add sugar, oleo, salt, pepper, vinegar and 1 cup water. Bring to a boil stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat.
    Add sour cream.
    Pour over potato and onion mixture.
    Add half of the diced bacon and chopped parsley.
    Toss well.
    Add rest of bacon.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Serve hot or cold.
    (Better on second day.) Makes 10 servings.
