Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 3/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Chill dough; roll into balls (size of a walnut).
    Roll balls in mixture of 1 tablespoon sugar and 2 tablespoons cinnamon. Place about 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.
    Bake until lightly browned, but still soft, at 400\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes. Makes about 5 dozen.
