Brazilian Toffee - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. Brazil nuts, blanched and chopped
    1/3 c. water
    2 Tbsp. light corn syrup
    1 pkg. (6 oz.) chocolate chips
    1/2 c. chopped Brazil nuts or slivered almonds
Preparation
    Melt butter in heavy 8-inch skillet or heavy pan. When melted, add 2 cups sugar. Add Brazil nuts, water and corn syrup. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Cook slowly 25-35 minutes, stirring occasionally, to crack stage (hard ball), or 290\u00b0.
