Chicken Chow Mein - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 Tbsp. butter
4 Tbsp. minced onion
1 c. whole button mushrooms
1 1/2 c. cooked chicken, shredded
1 c. diced celery
1 1/2 c. chicken broth
2 Tbsp. soy sauce
1 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 Tbsp. sugar
3 Tbsp. cold water
Preparation

Brown butter in pan slightly. Add onion and mushrooms.
After all are browned, add and simmer for 15 minutes the chicken, celery, broth, soy sauce and sugar.
(Cut down on the sugar.) Blend in the cornstarch and water that have been mixed together until smooth.
Cook the chow mein mixture until slightly thickened and clear looking.
Serves 4.
