French Toast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs
    1 c. milk
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    8 slices day-old bread
    syrup, jelly or 10xxx sugar
Preparation
    Beat eggs, milk, sugar and salt together in shallow dish. Heat shortening in skillet or on griddle.
    Dip bread slices, one at a time, into egg mixture.
    Turn and coat evenly.
    Fry until lightly brown on both sides.
    Serve with syrup, jelly or 10xxx sugar.
