Blonde Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. light brown sugar (1 box)
    2/3 c. shortening (margarine)
    3 eggs
    2 3/4 c. flour
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chocolate chips
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Mix; bake at 325\u00b0 in a 9 x 13-inch Pyrex dish greased with margarine and floured or spray with nonstick cooking spray.
    Bake 45 minutes.
    Mixture will be stiff and hard to stir and spread in baking dish.
