Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 firmly packed brown sugar
    1 c. shortening
    2 Tbsp. molasses
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs
    3 c. quick cooking rolled oats
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. chopped nuts
    12 oz. pkg. (2 c.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation
    Heat oven
    to 350\u00b0.
    Grease 15 x 10-inch or 13 x 9-inch pan. In large bowl beat brown sugar and shortening until light and fluffy.
    Add
    molasses,
    vanilla
    and
    eggs.
    Blend well. Lightly spoon
    flour
    into\tmeasuring cup; level off. Stir in oats, flour,
    baking soda and salt; blend well.
    Stir in nuts and add chocolate chips.
    Spread in prepared pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes\tor
    until
    golden
    brown and center into sets.\tCool slightly;
    cut
    into
    bars.
    Serve\twarm
    or cold. Makes 48 bars.
