Date Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. confectioners sugar (plus some for coating)
    1 c. lightly packed, moist pitted dates, cut very small
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 Tbsp. butter, melted
    2 eggs
    1 c. chopped walnuts
    1/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    In a large bowl, beat eggs and 1 1/4 cups confectioners sugar until light colored.
    Mix in remaining ingredients.
    Spread in a greased 9 x 9-inch pan.
    Bake in a preheated 350\u00b0 oven until golden and cake springs back when touched with fingertip, 25 to 27 minutes.
    Cook in pan on rack for 15 minutes.
    Cut into 2 x 1-inch bars.
    Roll in confectioners sugar.
    Cool on rack.
    Makes 32 bars.
