Harvard Beets - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sliced beets, cooked (canned or fresh)
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
Preparation
    Cook or heat the beets.
    Boil together the remaining ingredients until thick and clear.
    Add some butter or margarine about the size of a walnut.
    Add the beets and mix.
