Okra Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 lb. small okra pods
    4 to 5 garlic buds, peeled
    3 small hot peppers, chopped
    2 tsp. dill seed
    1 pt. distilled white vinegar (4 to 6% acidity)
    1 qt. water
    1/3 c. salt
Preparation
    Wash and pack okra down in hot, sterilized jars.
    Put a garlic bud, some hot pepper pieces and some dill seed in each jar.
    Bring vinegar, water and salt to a boil; pour into jars and seal at once. Let ripen for several weeks before opening.
    Makes 4 to 5 pints.
