Roman Noodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 green pepper, chopped
    2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms (undrained)
    2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    1/4 tsp. powdered thyme
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    8 oz. medium noodles (uncooked)
    3/4 c. water
    1 (8 oz.) can peas, drained
    1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Combine onion, green pepper and oil in a 2-quart casserole. Cook in microwave on Full power for 2 to 3 minutes, until onion and green pepper are tender.
    Stir in mushrooms with liquid, tomato sauce and seasonings.
    Cook in microwave, covered, on Full power for 3 minutes and heated through.
    Stir in noodles and water.
    Cook in microwave, covered, on Full power for 9 to 12 minutes, until noodles are tender.
    Stir halfway through cooking time.
    Stir in the peas.
    Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese before serving.
    Serves about 4 to 5 people.
