Risengrot - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. rice
2 qt. milk
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 sticks cinnamon
1 almond
Preparation

Add rice to 1 1/2 quarts milk.
Cook in double boiler.
Add more milk as needed.
Cook 2 hours.
Stir frequently, every 20 minutes.
Twenty minutes before done, add cinnamon and almond. Serve with pat of butter in center, sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar.
Whoever gets almond has good luck for coming year.
Serve New Year's Eve.
