Mulled Cider - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 qt. cider
    1 tsp. whole allspice
    1 tsp. whole cloves
    dash of nutmeg
    1-inch thick cinnamon stick
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients except cinnamon stick.
    Simmer 30 minutes, covered.
    Serve hot with twist of orange peel and cinnamon stick.
    Makes 10 to 12 servings.
