Mock Apple Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    36 Town House crackers
    2 c. water
    2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    butter
    cinnamon
    2 pie shells
Preparation
    Break crackers coarsely into pastry-lined plate.
    Combine water, sugar and cream of tartar in a saucepan and boil gently for 15 minutes.
    Add lemon juice and cool.
    Pour syrup over crackers. Dot generously with butter.
    Sprinkle with cinnamon.
    Makes 2 pies.
