Sweet Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 qt. sliced cucumbers
    6 onions, sliced
    2 green peppers or 1 red and 1 green for color
    sprinkle of garlic salt
    1 1/2 c. canning salt
    3 c. cider vinegar
    2 Tbsp. mustard seed
    1 1/2 Tbsp. celery seed
    5 c. sugar
Preparation
    Let first 5 ingredients stand 3 hours in ice water; drain well.
    Bring next 4 ingredients to a boil and then pour over cucumbers which are packed in the jars.
    Cold pack for 3 to 5 minutes.
