Shrimp Creole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 Tbsp. butter
1 c. celery, chopped
1 c. onions
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 c. green pepper, chopped
4 lb. fresh shrimp, boiled and cleaned
1 qt. tomatoes
2 Tbsp. tomato paste
1 c. chili sauce
2 Tbsp. cornstarch, dissolved in 4 Tbsp. iced water
1 tsp. thyme
salt and pepper
Preparation

Saute vegetables in butter until softened. Add the remaining ingredients. Cover skillet and simmer over low heat for 45 minutes. Add shrimp and simmer for 10 minutes. Thicken mixture with cornstarch. Serve with white rice.
