Round Steak Potato Scallop - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. round steak, sliced into 1-inch strips
    3 Tbsp. flour
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    3 small onions, sliced
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/4 tsp. thyme
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    2 c. water
    3 potatoes, sliced
Preparation
    Shake flour and round steak in plastic bag until coated.
    Brown in 3 tablespoons shortening.
    Add onions; cook until tender.
    Pour into ungreased 2-quart casserole dish.
    Sprinkle with 3 tablespoons flour, salt, pepper, thyme and garlic powder.
    Pour water over. Cover.
    Bake 45 minutes at 350\u00b0 until tender.
    Slice potatoes and layer over meat.
    Sprinkle with paprika.
    Bake, uncovered, 30 minutes at 450\u00b0 or until potatoes are tender.
