Jessie Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick butter
    2 c. light brown sugar, firmly packed
    2 tsp. baking powder
    vanilla
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 c. plain flour
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Melt butter in saucepan; add brown sugar when melted.
    Do not cook.
    Stir in sugar well.
    Take off stove burner; add well beaten eggs, stirred in lightly.
    Then add flour, nuts and vanilla.
    Pour mixture in well-greased and floured pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 18 minutes.
    Cut in squares.
    Makes 2 dozen.
