New England Clam Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    2 large potatoes, diced
    1 large onion, diced
    2 stalks celery, diced
    1 qt. frozen clams, thawed
    1 qt. milk
    1 Tbsp. black pepper
Preparation
    In a large saucepan, melt butter.
    Saute onion, celery and potatoes until tender.
    Add milk.
    Simmer for about 30 minutes. Put in bowls or cups.
    Garnish with parsley flakes.
    Serve. Serves 6 to 8 people.
