Fresh Strawberry Cheesecake Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 deep-dish pie crust
    8 oz. cream cheese, softened
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    4 tsp. cornstarch
    1 1/2 qt. fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
    1/2 c. sugar
    whipped topping
Preparation
    Bake pie crust and cool.
    Combine cream cheese and 1 tablespoon sugar; beat until smooth.
    Spread in bottom of crust. Puree half of strawberries.
    In saucepan combine pureed strawberries, remaining sugar and cornstarch.
    Cook and stir over medium-low heat until mixture thickens and becomes clear (7 to 10 minutes).
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in remaining strawberries.
    Let cool 10 minutes.
    Pour into pie crust and refrigerate at least 3 hours.
    Serve with whipped topping.
