No Peek Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. stew meat, cut into 1-inch cubes
    1 envelope onion soup mix
    1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
    1 (4 oz.) can whole mushrooms, drained
    1/2 c. red wine or water
Preparation
    Combine ingredients well in a 2-quart casserole, (I use a roaster).
    Cover.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 3 hours.
    Don't peek until it is done.
    Serve over rice or noodles.
    Serves 4 to 6.
