Vegetable Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 medium onions, ground (4 c.)
    1 medium cabbage, ground (4 c.)
    12 green tomatoes, ground (4 c.)
    12 sweet peppers
    2 sweet red peppers
    1/2 c. salt
    6 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. mustard seed
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
    1 1/2 Tbsp. turmeric
    4 c. cider vinegar
    2 c. water
Preparation
    Grind vegetables using coarse blade.
    Sprinkle with salt; let stand overnight.
    Rinse and drain.
    Combine remaining ingredients. Pour over vegetables.
    Heat to boiling.
    Simmer 3 minutes.
    Seal in hot sterilized jars.
    Makes 8 pints.
