Italian Creme Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 stick oleomargarine
1/2 c. Crisco
1 c. sugar
5 egg yolks
2 c. cake flour (self-rising)
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. buttermilk
1 small can Angel Flake coconut
5 egg whites, stiffly beaten
Preparation

Cream oleomargarine and Crisco; add sugar and beat until mixture is smooth.
Add egg yolks and beat well.
Combine flour and soda and add to cream mixture.
Alternate with buttermilk. Stir in vanilla; add coconut and nuts and fold in egg whites. Pour batter into 3 greased and floured 8-inch cake pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
Cool and use cream cheese frosting.
