Fresh Coconut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or Crisco
    2 c. sugar
    3 c. flour (self-rising)
    2 tsp. baking powder (optional)
    4 eggs
    1/2 c. coconut milk
    1/2 c. canned cream
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream sugar and butter, adding sugar a small amount at a time. Beat until light and fluffy.
    Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Add flour, coconut milk, canned cream and vanilla at low speed, adding the baking powder with the last of flour.
    Bake in 9-inch pans 30 or 35 minutes at 375\u00b0.
