Yam Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. mashed sweet potatoes (fresh cooked or canned; if fresh, add 1/3 c. white sugar)
    1/3 c. brown sugar
    3/4 tsp. cinnamon
    3/4 tsp. ginger
    1/8 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. scalded milk, cooled slightly
    2 eggs, well beaten
    1 unbaked pie shell
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    3/4 c. finely chopped pecans
Preparation
    Combine first seven ingredients and pour into unbaked pie crust.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
    Top with butter, brown sugar and pecans.
    Bake an additional 25 minutes.
    When cool, serve with whipped cream.
