Jazzy Jambalaya - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 oz. hot smoked sausage, sliced
    2 (14 oz.) cans Del Monte Cajun-style stewed tomatoes
    8 oz. medium shrimp, shelled and deveined or 6 oz. ham, diced
    1 c. uncooked rice, washed in hot water
    1 bay leaf
    1 Tbsp. chopped parsley
Preparation
    In a heavy 4-quart saucepan, brown sausage over low heat. Drain tomatoes, reserving liquid.
    Add water to make 1 1/2 cups. Add to sausage and tomatoes the shrimp and remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil and stir.
    Reduce heat to low.
    Simmer 30 to 35 minutes or until liquid is absorbed, stirring occasionally.
    Remove bay leaf.
    Ready to serve.
