Chocolate Turtle Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. Betty Crocker SuperMoist devil's food cake mix
    1 1/3 c. water
    1/2 c. vegetable oil
    3 eggs
    1 (14 oz.) bag caramels
    1/2 c. evaporated milk
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1 (6 oz.) bag semi-sweet chocolate chips (1 c.)
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0. Grease pan, 13 x 9 x 2-inches, with shortening; lightly flour. Make cake mix, using water, oil and eggs. Pour half of batter into pan. Bake 25 minutes. Heat caramels and milk in 1-quart saucepan over medium heat about 10 minutes, stirring frequently, until caramels are melted. Pour and spread caramel over warm cake in pan. Sprinkle with pecans and chocolate chips. Spread with remaining batter. Bake 30 minutes. Run knife around side of pan to loosen cake. Cool completely, about 1 hour. Store, covered, at room temperature.
