Layered Overnight Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce
    1 medium red onion, chopped
    1 medium bell pepper, chopped
    1 stalk celery, chopped
    1 pkg. frozen sweet peas
    8 strips bacon, fried and crumbled
    1 to 1 1/2 c. Cheddar cheese, shredded
    1 1/2 c. Best Foods mayonnaise
    2 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Tear lettuce into bite size pieces and place in oblong dish or large, deep glass salad bowl.
    Continue to layer remaining ingredients, in order listed, ending with peas.
    Spread mayonnaise over peas and seal to edges.
    Sprinkle sugar over mayonnaise, then cheese.
    Then top with bacon crumbs.
    Seal tightly.
    Do not stir.
