World War Ii Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. dark Karo syrup
    1 beaten egg
    1 pkg. butterscotch pudding mix
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    Cream shortening, vanilla and dark Karo syrup.
    Add beaten egg.
    Beat well.
    Add pudding mix and beat again.
    Measure flour, salt and baking powder.
    Add to first mixture, alternating with milk.
