Colonial Fried Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 to 3 lb. chicken, cut up
    2 to 3 c. shortening
    3/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1 1/2 Tbsp. oregano
    1/2 tsp. paprika
    1 tsp. garlic salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Combine flour and seasonings; roll the chicken in the flour mixture.
    Using a Dutch oven or other heavy deep pan, fry the chicken in shortening at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes on each side or until tender.
