Methodist Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1 c. meal
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 egg
    2 tsp. oil
    1 1/2 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Sift the first 6 ingredients together, then add the egg, oil and buttermilk.
    Stir only until moist.
    Pour into greased iron skillet that is lined with bacon.
    Bake for 15 minutes at 400\u00b0; bake for 15 minutes at 450\u00b0.
