Cherry Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can sour pitted cherries
    1 small can crushed pineapple
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 pkg. cherry jello
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cook cherries, pineapple and sugar to boiling point.
    Add jello to hot mixture, stirring well to dissolve jello.
    A few drops of red food coloring may be added, if desired.
    When partially congealed, add nuts and refrigerate.
