Payday Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. Karo syrup
    1 c. white sugar
    1 c. peanut butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. blanched peanuts
    6 c. Rice Krispies
Preparation
    Combine syrup and sugar in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil. Stir constantly.
    Stir in peanut butter and vanilla.
    In a large bowl, combine peanuts and cereal.
    Pour hot mixture over cereal and nuts.
    Stir carefully to coat the cereal.
    Put mixture into a lightly greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Press down evenly with a rubber spatula.
    When cool, cut into 24 squares.
