Buttermilk Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large pkg. Jell-O (lime, orange or strawberry)
    3 c. crushed pineapple
    1 can mandarin oranges
    1 small carton whipped topping
    3 c. buttermilk
    1/2 c. pecan pieces
Preparation
    Drain pineapple.
    Use the juice and enough water to make 1 cup liquid.
    Heat and pour over gelatin, stirring until it is dissolved.
    Slowly stir in buttermilk. Add pineapple, oranges, pecans and whipped topping. Chill.
