Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. light Karo syrup
    1 1/2 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. plus 2 Tbsp. water
    1/4 lb. butter
    1 1/2 c. raw peanuts
    pinch of salt
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Two cups brown sugar, one cup milk and butter size of walnut. Stir while cooking.
    Boil 20 minutes, then add flavoring and a cup of chopped nuts.
    Beat until creamy and spread on buttered tin to cool.
