Swedish Almond Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 c. powdered sugar, sifted
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. vanilla flavoring
    1 box 10x powdered sugar
    1/2 c. butter
    2 c. all-purpose flour, sifted
    1 Tbsp. water
    1 1/4 c. finely chopped almonds
Preparation
    Cream butter and shortening until fluffy.
    Add 1 cup powdered sugar; mix well.
    Combine flour and salt and stir into shortening mixture.
    Add water, vanilla flavoring and nuts.
    Chill dough about 1 hour, then roll into small balls and flatten.
    Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for about 12 minutes.
    Roll in powdered sugar.
