Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. beef round, cut in thin strips
    1/4 c. oil
    1 clove minced garlic
    1 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. water
    1 c. chopped green peppers (1-inch pieces)
    1 chopped onion
    1/2 c. celery
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 tomatoes, cut up
Preparation
    Brown beef in oil; add garlic and cook until yellow.
    Add soy sauce, salt and 1/4 cup water.
    Cook for 45 minutes.
    Add vegetables and cook ten minutes longer.
    Mix cornstarch in 1 cup cold water and add to beef mixture.
    Add chopped tomatoes and cook for 5 more minutes.
    Serve over hot fluffy rice.
