Easy Peach Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. peaches, peeled and sliced
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 stick butter or margarine
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. milk
    1 c. plain flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Mix fruit with sugar.
    Let stand 30 minutes.
    Melt butter. Make batter with remaining ingredients.
    Pour batter over butter, then pour fruit and juices over batter.
    Do not stir.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes until brown.
