Alabama Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. milk
    2 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    2 c. flour
    2 Tbsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Put sugar, milk, salt and shortening in saucepan.
    Stir over low heat until shortening melts.
    Remove and stir until lukewarm. Sprinkle in yeast and dissolve.
    Add flour and baking powder.
    Stir until smooth (about 30 strokes).
    Let stand.
