Pepper Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 c. green tomatoes, ground
    2 c. green peppers, ground
    4 c. onions, ground
    1 c. red peppers, ground
    6 c. sugar
    4 c. vinegar
    2 c. water
    2 Tbsp. mustard seed
    1 Tbsp. turmeric
    1 tsp. whole allspice
    1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Soak ground vegetables overnight or at least for 4 hours.
    Mix with 1/2 cup plain salt; drain well.
    Combine and bring to boil the spices, water, sugar and vinegar.
    Simmer for 5 minutes.
    Put into jars and seal.
