Praline Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1/2 c. half-and-half
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. chopped pecans, toasted (optional)
    1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation
    Combine first 3 ingredients in a small saucepan over medium heat.
    Bring to a boil; cook, stirring constantly, 1 minute. Remove from heat; stir in pecans and vanilla.
    Cool slightly; serve warm over slices of pie.
    Yields 2 cups.
