Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. plain flour
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vinegar
    2 oz. red food coloring
    2 tsp. cocoa
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Add vinegar over soda, set aside.
    Cream shortening, sugar and eggs together.
    Make paste with food coloring and cocoa.
    Then add to cream mixture.
    Then add flour, vanilla, salt and buttermilk. Mix well.
    Fold in vinegar and soda mixture.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
