Ingredients

3 oz. grated sharp Cheddar
8 potatoes, skinned and sliced to 1/8-inch thickness
2 Tbsp. butter
dash of salt and pepper
Preparation

Melt butter in a skillet and arrange the first layer of potatoes so that they cover the skillet, overlapping.
Next, season lightly and add a layer of cheese.
Repeat.
End with a layer of cheese.
Cover the pan and cook at a medium heat for 40 to 50 minutes.
Loosen and serve.
Garnish with orange and apple slices.
