Pennsylvania Dutch Green Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 strips bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
    1 small onion, sliced
    1/4 tsp. dry mustard
    2 tsp. cornstarch
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 (No. 303) can cut green beans
    1 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 hard-boiled egg
Preparation
    Leave 1 tablespoon bacon fat in pan.
    Add onion; brown lightly.
    Combine cornstarch, salt and mustard in cup.
    Drain beans and reserve 1/2 cup liquid.
    Stir bean liquid and vinegar into dry ingredients and add to pot.
    Stir until it boils.
    Add beans and bacon; heat thoroughly.
    Garnish with egg slices or finely chopped egg.
