Strawberry Ice Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pt strawberries, hulled and coarsely chopped
    2/3 c sugar
    1 tsp fresh lemon juice
    1 1/2 c half & half cream
    2 large eggs
    pinch salt
    3/4 c heavy cream
    1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Preparation
    In a large bowl, combine strawberries, 1/4 c of the sugar and lemon juice. Crush with a potato masher until strawberries are almost pureed. Set aside.
