Ingredients

2 c. buttermilk, heated to lukewarm
1/2 c. melted butter
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 c. sugar
pinch of salt
4 to 5 c. flour
1 c. raisins
2 pkg. dry yeast, in 1/2 c. warm water
Preparation

Heat buttermilk to lukewarm; add soda.
Stir in melted butter, sugar and salt.
Add 2 cups flour.
Stir in yeast.
Add eggs. Beat thoroughly.
Add remaining flour and raisins.
