Creamy Ham Quiche - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    pastry for 9-inch pie shell
    1 c. diced, cooked ham
    1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
    4 eggs
    1 c. half and half
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. paprika
    1 tsp. parsley flakes
Preparation
    Line a 9-inch quiche dish or pie pan with pastry.
    Trim excess pastry around edges.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 3 minutes.
    Remove from oven.
    Gently prick with a fork.
    Bake 5 minutes longer.
    Let cool on a rack.
    Place ham in pastry shell.
    Top with cheese and sprinkle with nutmeg.
    Beat eggs until foamy.
    Stir in half and half and seasonings.
    Pour over cheese in pastry shell.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes or until firm.
    Yields 1 (9-inch) quiche.
