San Francisco Chops - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 (3/4 inch) lean pork chops
    3 tsp. oil
    1 clove garlic, minced
    2 tsp. cornstarch
    4 Tbsp. dry sherry or broth
    4 Tbsp. soy sauce
    2 tbsp. brown sugar
    1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper
    2 Tbsp. water
Preparation
    Using 1 teaspoon oil, brown chops on both sides.
    Remove meat and add garlic for 1 minute.
    Combine remaining ingredients and pour over chops in skillet and simmer for 30 to 35 minutes, until tender and sauce is thick.
