Fresh Apple Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 Tbsp. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans
1 Tbsp. flour
1 c. peeled and grated apple
1 1/2 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Combine 1 cup sugar and shortening.
Cream until light and fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Combine 2 cups flour, soda and salt.
Combine buttermilk and vanilla.
Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk
mixture, beating well after each addition.
Combine pecans and 1 tablespoon of flour and stir well.
Stir pecans and apple into batter.
Pour into a greased and floured 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.
Combine 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle evenly over batter.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
