Angel Yeast Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    2 Tbsp. warm water (105~ to 115~)
    5 c. self-rising flour (White Lily flour from the South is best)
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. shortening (I prefer lard, or butter-flavor Crisco)
    2 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in warm water and set aside.
    Stir flour, sugar and baking soda together.
    Cut in shortening until size of peas. Mix buttermilk with yeast-water.
    Add to flour mixture.
    Stir until moistened.
    May now be covered and refrigerated overnight to be shaped and baked later.
